Summary

Small libraries do big work—and that work is strongest when partnerships are clear and collaborative. This session focuses on the nuts and bolts of how libraries interact with cities, municipalities, and counties. Participants will gain a practical understanding of governance structures, funding relationships, roles, and responsibilities, as well as how decisions are made and who is involved in the process. This session covers the questions you didn’t know to ask and provides foundational knowledge to help library staff navigate partnerships with confidence and clarity.
